Costa de Sol Beach is located on the Indian ocean and it is in the 3th place out of 3 beaches in the Maputo region 9.2 km away from its center, the city of Maputo. It is one of the beaches of Maputo settlement, just 9.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

It was a satisfactory experience. Some areas offer activities such as volleyball and beach football. There are plenty of restaurants available. During the summer, it becomes quite lively and the atmosphere varies each time, especially if you're looking to meet new people. However, it can become overcrowded.

If anyone is interested in seeing Flamingos up close near Maputo City Center, I recommend visiting the place when the sky is clear and the tide is low. The best time to go is between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

I just realized that I didn't take many photos of the beach itself, but it's a fantastic spot to mingle with the locals and savor local dishes. There are street bars where you can find both local and international beers. The water may not be exceptional, but all in all, it's a decent way to spend an afternoon with the locals.
