This stretch of coast, also known as the new bikini beach or the eastern bikini beach, has undergone recent developments to fortify its shoreline with a sturdy stone wave breaker. Despite these efforts, the beach remains heavily eroded, and the quality of sand is less than optimal. Evidence of construction debris can be found scattered about, possibly buried beneath the sand. The use of large sandbags is a common method of preserving the beach's integrity. On the reef side, there is a fascinating lagoon teeming with aquatic life, making it a perfect spot for a snorkeling excursion, especially during rough waters, where the wave breakers provide a safe haven. While the locals frequent this spot, it is also a popular bikini zone.
This particular beach may not be officially designated as a bikini beach, but it still attracts a fair share of tourists who are looking to soak up the sun and sand. Despite the lack of official recognition, visitors are free to wear bikinis without any objections from the locals. The beach boasts a lovely expanse of sand and a small lake that is perfect for infants to splash around in. However, shade-seekers may be disappointed as there is not much cover available. While we have experienced better bikini beaches on other islands, this one still offers a pleasant and safe environment for beachgoers.
The hue of the water left me in awe. A knowledgeable guide, who had explored 30 islands, disclosed that this beach boasts the purest and untouched sea water she has ever witnessed.
The breathtaking scenery of the ocean is truly awe-inspiring. There is a nearby spot for snorkeling with sharks, which is quite thrilling. The tiny island boasts a school, a small hospital, and its own power source. You can take a dip in the water and spend some relaxing time on the beach. One unforgettable sight I witnessed was a group of fish viciously attacking a bird. 🐦
This island boasts pristine beaches with water so clear, you can see straight to the bottom. And when the sun sets, the sky transforms into a dazzling display of twinkling stars.
