Fonimagoodhoo Island Beach

We visited Reethi Beach for couple of days including Xmas holiday. Overall we had a delightful holiday and our expectations were fully met by what this beautiful island offered to us. We chosen Sunset Deluxe Beach villas, which are basic inside and furniture is quite obsolete, I think with some replacements and small improvements (e.g coffee machine with capsules, better toiletries, wifi in the rooms, juices in fridge) the experience would have been much better. But, on the other hand, the villas are nicely located on the beach, with individual chairs and umbrella hidden in the green lush palm trees facing the sea. You can easily access the reefs from everywhere when high tide and when low tide through 2 coridors marked with a life ring. The reef is truly beautiful, full of colorful fishes of all sizes plus the special ones: sharks, rays, turtles. We chosen standard all inclusive, which ensures breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Main Restaurant plus a good selection of drinks, coffees and alcoholic beverages in any bar on the island. For our needs was more than enough. We really appreciate the services offered by all the staffs in Main restaurant and in all bars - friendly and supportive all the time. As mentioned, we celebrated Xmas eve on the island and the staff went above and beyond to secure a festive atmosphere throughout the island and as well a great dinner buffet with many live cooking stations and lots of sweets. Overall our stay has been amazing thanks to all the staff, the natural beauty of the island and the abundant with sea life. We will definitely recommend to our friends home!

Good choice for a first-time visit to the Maldives. Service staff, location and food were excellent. Can be hard to communicate with the diveshop sometimes with limited wifi, but we thoroughly enjoyed the free excursions we took up.

We visited Reethi Beach Resort in December 2023 for our honeymoon. We stayed for a total of 9 nights in the water villas. Weather during our stay was half of clear and full sun, half cloudy with breeze and rain tended to come overnight and clear during the day. Rooms are in the traditional style, they are very spacious with large bathroom and deck for sun lounging and direct access to the sea. Access to the water villas is spectacular and the view from the room is a complete panorama of the horizon across the water and the islands nearby. Beds are big and comfortable. You have the options of both air conditioning or a ceiling fan to keep cool. We were very thankful for the ceiling fan as we are not very keen on AC (anyway, this is available in the room for those who like it). Rooms are serviced every day and kept clean with environmentally friendly procedures. We went for the standard all inclusive option, which provides for breakfast lunch, afternoon snack and dinner from the Main Restaurant and a good selection of drinks and alcoholic beverages from any of the bars on the island. We would recommend this option as it provided an abundant choice of food and drinks - in fact, the main restaurant change their menu every day - especially at dinner, they do themed cuisines with a wide variety of choices and fresh produce (often from their own garden on the island). The team at the main restaurant made sure that we had always a great experience and everything we could ask was provided for. A special thanks goes to Majid, Amjad, Rubel - these are the people we especially remember but there were many more who gave us excellent service. We had good chats with Ixoo and Madushan in the bars and all the staff in the bars were friendly and forthcoming. In the all-inclusive option, we were also provided with two free trips every week (one being a sunset cruise, the other being a trip to two local islands nearby to see the local lifestyle). There was also a trial scuba diving introduction included. As we were away on honeymoon, they provided a nice welcome display in our room with fresh fruit. We also got a romantic dinner for free at the Saima Garden (which is the high-end cuisine restaurant on the island, candlelit, on the beach, with an arrangement of flowers on the table). We also got to try the Moodhu Bar and Restaurant on our arrival day, as we got a free late-lunch due to our arrival time in the mid-afternoon. The location of the Moodhu Bar is also stunning with a wooden deck walkway into the sea. The food at both the Saima Garden and the Moodhu Bar was amazing quality. Out of the extra activities (there are plenty provided), we decided to go for:-Turtle Snorkneling in Donphan (very good experience, however if you are lucky you can get to see turtles from the reef on the island); - Night Snorkeling with the Dive centre team (incredible experience, you get to swim with reef sharks and sting rays); -the Maldivian Cooking Class with chef Nittu, where you get to make and sample delicious traditional cuisine. Nittu was very engaging, knowledgeable and friendly; - Beach BBQ from the Reethi Grill, it is a very special dinner on the beach with incredibly fresh seafood (sushi, sashimi, many grilled local fishes etc.); - massage at the Coconut Spa, where the team is very friendly and provide you with an extremely relaxing experience which can also be tailored to couples. Overall our stay has been amazing thanks to all the staff and the natural beauty of the island, abundant with sea life. The reef is exceptional with so many creatures very nearby. We were very grateful that Internet access was provided only in certain spots, so that we got to fully relax and leave the outside world behind. Many activities are provided for at Reethi Beach as well as a relaxing ambience. There is something for everyone! We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

My garden villa was fab, but a little update here and there would make it 100%. Loved the outdoor shower. All staff were helpful and courteous. Food in the main restaurant was excellent, especially as I'm a non- meat eater. The reef is great for snorkeling & you get to see sharks up close. I missed the chance to swim with whale sharks, as communication is tricky, but just means I'll have to return!

Rooms are not luxurious, but very comfortable and clean. You can see sharks from the water villas. Amazing trips out to Hanifaru Bay to see the mantas and whale sharks. Buffet spread is great, but not so good for vegans. Service is fantastic from all the staff. You take a seaplane from Male.
