We stayed in villa 820, which had a stunning view of the sunrise and was conveniently located near the bridge and restaurants. Ms. Emma from reservations suggested this villa, and we are grateful for her advice as it could not have been better! Mr. Aali from the water sports center assisted us in selecting snorkeling equipment that we were able to use for the entirety of our stay. The Long Island dinner was excellent, with delicious meats and a wide variety of food options. We also tried LI Bai food, but it didn't quite suit our tastes. Perhaps Chinese food isn't exactly what we prefer. DJ Krish was kind enough to play our favorite songs during the disco since we were the only attendees. The breakfast at the dining room was fantastic, offering a multitude of delicious choices, and the live kitchen provided a plethora of options. We want to extend our gratitude to Ms. Imane from reception, who was incredibly kind and promptly resolved an issue with our packed lunch upon departure. Lastly, a big thank you to Mr. Milton from the boat team, who assisted us with our luggage and saved us from the hassle of carrying heavy bags. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would like to express our gratitude to The Residence!
I stayed at the resort back in 2021 and I must say, the resort itself is absolutely stunning. However, there were a few issues that I encountered during my stay that I hope they will address for future guests. Firstly, the wall outlets in the room were quite sensitive and didn't always work properly. Additionally, there was no outlet by the bed to charge my phone since it was a platform bed. I had to bring a long extension cord to solve this problem. Another issue was that the light switch in the room was quite confusing as it had no labels. I had to call the front desk to figure out why a wall outlet didn't work, only to find out that the main switch for it was actually located by the bed. It would have been helpful if this was made clear. In the bathroom, there was no wall outlet available. It was actually hidden behind the drawer that housed the hair dryer, but it was quite difficult to access, especially if you needed to use a shaver or curling iron/straightener. There were also some language barriers when I requested a female bike. Instead, they brought me another male bike. I had to call again for a different bike, but it never arrived. Eventually, I had to stop a staff member who was busy with something else, but he did manage to get me the correct bike. I also requested a buggy ride before the breakfast opened at 7 am, but they said it was too early. By the time we finally got a ride, it was already past 7:30 am when we reached the dining hall. If the dining hall wasn't located in the middle of the island, far from the villas, we would have just biked there. However, biking can be quite challenging. Speaking of bikes and buggies, there were no signs indicating which side to be on when there was oncoming traffic. This led to some near miss collisions. It would be helpful if there were signs instructing guests to stay on their left or right when encountering oncoming traffic. Lastly, after enjoying a private in-villa dining experience, no one came to collect the tray even though I had asked when would be the best time for them to come back for it. This happened twice during my stay. Apart from these issues, everything else about my stay was wonderful.
I had an amazing vacation at this beach. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the views were absolutely breathtaking, and we enjoyed delicious food every day. To top it off, we were lucky enough to spot adorable dolphins during the complimentary sunset dolphin cruise. π
Here are my main takeaways from our visit to the beach in late May 2023 with my family of four, including 10-year-old twins: 1) We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning. The experience was so good that we can't wait to come back. 2) The beach villas and Overwater villas are absolutely stunning and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom is as spacious as a small apartment. 3) The service provided by everyone at the resort is top-notch. It's personalized and attentive, truly setting the standard. The resort's location is the true beauty of it all. It's situated on two connected islands with a charming castaway beach in between, connected by a short viaduct. To access the various eateries, bars, and the infinity pool, you have to cycle through the beautifully maintained jungle. The bikes are user-friendly and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It was a delightful escape in itself. There's plenty of space to move around, and the marine wildlife is awe-inspiring. Both islands are owned by the same resort, allowing you to dine and drink on either one. The pictures don't do justice to this resort; it's even better in person. The quality of the food and beverages exceeded our expectations and everything was delicious. There was a fantastic variety of options. We decided to go with the all-inclusive package and have no regrets. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I thoroughly enjoyed my meals. This is a truly 5-star resort that lives up to its promises. It was an unforgettable experience that I wholeheartedly recommend. A big thank you to the entire team for their splendid work.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at the beach. The entire staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, particularly Navin and Sajith from the dining room. Our room was absolutely fantastic and well-maintained throughout our stay. The food was exceptional and the staff's attention to detail only enhanced our experience. It was definitely worth every penny and we consider it to be a top-notch resort!
