Amilla Fushi Island Beach

Amilla Maldives and Baa Atoll surpassed all of our anticipations. The expansive and stunning coral water villa, along with the exceptional service from our butler (Jupiter) and the entire restaurant staff, left us in awe. The cuisine was exceptional, offering a wide array of choices. Having traveled to numerous places, this has easily become our top pick.

We had an enchanting week at Amilla, where the attentive staff and our Katheeb Buddy struck the perfect balance of support and respect for our privacy. The spacious and cozy reef villa provided incredible access to the stunning reef, where we found ourselves spending more time snorkeling than we had anticipated. As first-time visitors to both Amilla and the Maldives, we were impressed by the overall vibe of the resort - a lush, laid-back atmosphere with lazy bike rides and bats fluttering through the trees. The resort felt secluded, especially outside of mealtimes, and exuded an elegant yet unpretentious charm. The staff at Amilla were exceptional, with our Katheeb Buddy going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. He was responsive, friendly, and proactive in booking activities and guiding us to the best snorkeling spots. The reef itself was teeming with marine life, from reef sharks to turtles and colorful schools of fish. Snorkeling from the villa's back deck was a highlight, and we also enjoyed organized trips to nearby sites like the Blue Hole and the submerged atoll to the south. The coral and fish life in these areas were truly outstanding, making our snorkeling experiences unforgettable.

We recently returned from an incredible family vacation at Amilla. It was our first visit to the Maldives and we couldn't have selected a more ideal location. The island itself is stunning, unspoiled, vast, and surrounded by a breathtaking house reef. The staff at Amilla are all exceptional. Every person we interacted with was devoted, sincere, and proud to be part of the team. This was evident in every encounter we had there. We opted for a reef water villa, which was spacious and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed being able to easily access the ocean for snorkeling or lounging on our pool deck. Exploring the island on bicycles was a delight, and we particularly enjoyed discovering hidden beach spots, jungle paths, and observing marine life from the jetty. The dining options were diverse and exceptional, and the themed evenings were a highlight. A visit to Feeling Koi for top-notch sushi and Japanese cuisine is a must, but we also relished the fish and chips served on Saturday nights for a more laid-back experience. The wine selection was superb, with much of it included in our dine-around package. We also savored the creative cocktails and mocktails crafted by the bar team. There was a wide array of activities to choose from, including a DJ workshop, kombucha brewing, spa massages, and always something to keep us entertained. However, there was also the option to simply relax on the beautiful beach and do nothing. The most unforgettable moments were the guided snorkeling in the blue hole or house reef, where we had the privilege of swimming with giant turtles and reef sharks. There is so much more to share, but one cannot help but be thrilled with the experience at Amilla.

I had the opportunity to discover this luxurious private island resort for 5 nights, located in the unspoiled beauty of Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The majority of the island remains a naturally verdant paradise, with only 67 villas scattered across this expansive island. This is one aspect that sets Amilla apart. Another unique feature is the variety of accommodations available, including beach villas, water villas, and treetop villas - an intriguing option with a pool at tree level. However, what truly sets Amilla apart for me is the exceptional service. The staff deserves a perfect score, and the attention to detail such as organic food sourced from the island, original recipes for detox kombucha and even Nutella, organic coffee in the rooms, and much more, truly make a difference. Last but not least, the spa, nestled in the jungle, offers a wide range of services using homemade ingredients and a fantastic team. I stayed in a one-bedroom beach villa and highly recommend it. With 470 sqm of space and just a few meters away from excellent snorkeling spots, it was a dream. A big thank you to the entire team, but especially to Diyana, Buddy, Dudu, and Palauvee.
