Bak Bak Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 23th place out of 40 beaches in the Sabah region 136.7 km away from its center, the city of Kota Kinabalu. It is one of the beaches of Kampung Gumandang settlement, just 6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Bak Bak Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, toilets. .

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

That place is a fantastic spot for taking stunning photos. With clear blue skies, swaying coconut trees, and a clean rocky shoreline leading to the sparkling blue sea, it's a picturesque paradise. Plus, it's worth noting that the beach has free public entry.

During our search for a place to stay for the night, we stumbled upon Nine Huts on a hill and eventually made our way to Biostation, located further down Jalan Pantai BakBak. On our way back to Nine Huts, we chanced upon BakBak Beach and decided to make a stop. The beach was undeniably stunning, albeit to a certain degree.
