Kelambu Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 4th place out of 40 beaches in the Sabah region 132.9 km away from its center, the city of Kota Kinabalu. It is one of the beaches of Bangau settlement, just 3.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views.

It is a long several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Kelambu Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

The beach has easy access and features beautiful fine sand without many rocks or dead corals. However, a recent massive storm surge in December 2022 caused a lot of rubbish to wash up onto the shore, and the cleanup effort is taking quite some time.
