Caletta Sant'elia is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 335th place out of 382 beaches in the Sicily region 16.4 km away from its center, the city of Palermo. It is one of the beaches of Sant'Elia settlement, just 0.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a tiny bay with crystal turquoise water and gray sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

The beach is absolutely stunning and the locals are very welcoming! Although English may not be the most effective means of communication, a few Italian phrases and gestures can go a long way.

If only the locals and the town kept the place cleaner, I would definitely give this beach 5 stars. It's a great spot to visit when the weather is good and the waves are calm. You can spot a variety of fish and even jump off the cliffs, just make sure to wear water shoes. Watching the local kids jump off the cliffs is also quite entertaining. When the sea is not too rough, it's also enjoyable to swim from the bay to the beach. We were content with our basic diving equipment while exploring the waters.
