During the winter season, the Letojanni beach area is a great spot for leisurely strolls along the promenade. The small pebble sand adds to the charm of the place. Although the beach promenade has the potential to be a fantastic location, it is currently neglected. In contrast, the summer season sees a significant increase in visitors, resulting in crowded beaches and lower quality beach clubs and restaurants. This evaluation holds true for most of the beachside eateries.
The beach is lovely with crystal clear water and well-maintained surroundings. Although it may not be as picturesque as some of the other beaches in Sicily, it still offers a great spot to unwind and soak up the sun. Additionally, the town boasts a charming boardwalk with a variety of cafes and shops, making it a pleasant place to stroll and enjoy the local atmosphere.
We visited the beach in September and found it to be peaceful and well-maintained. It was a great experience overall.
The sea water at this beach is crystal clear and absolutely stunning! I thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the refreshing water. However, it's important to note that the sea bottom and beach are rocky, so I highly recommend investing in a pair of beach shoes before visiting Letojanni. Fortunately, you can easily purchase a pair at a local store for less than 15 Euros. Despite the beach's cleanliness, I did come across a few rusty metal pieces among the rocks, but my shoes helped protect my feet. Additionally, Letojanni is a great place to stay if you're interested in exploring the surrounding areas such as Taormina, Castelmola, and Naxos, all at a more affordable price.
The beach is absolutely stunning and impressively well-maintained. The water is invigorating and refreshing, albeit slightly cooler than expected. It's worth noting that due to the pebbles, it's advisable to wear water shoes for added comfort and safety.
