Spiaggia Morghella is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 30th place out of 45 beaches in the Siracusa region 42.9 km away from its center, the city of Siracusa. It is one of the beaches of Portopalo di Capo Passero settlement, just 2.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach is pleasant, tidy, and has ample space. However, parking on the main street next to it is limited. The water is warmer on the north side but gets colder near the rocks. It was a delightful surprise to visit and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The water is crystal clear. It's a great option if the wind is blowing from the east. It's important to maintain cleanliness as the surrounding area seems to be littered with trash.

The beach boasts a sandy shoreline and a cozy little bar, providing picturesque views of the surrounding area. Although the parking area is limited and off-road, it was free during our visit in October. It's important to note that the beach can get quite windy, resulting in choppy waves, so it's best to check the weather beforehand if you're seeking a serene day at the beach. However, if the waves are high, it's a great opportunity to watch skilled surfers in action.
