Mazzaro beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 4th place out of 109 beaches in the Messina region 43.6 km away from its center, the city of Messina. It is one of the beaches of Mazzaro settlement, just 0.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and brown fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

A significant part of the beach is occupied by beach clubs with limited access The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. I've been coming to Lido La Pigna for many years and this place definitely deserves top marks in every aspect. The Lido is absolutely stunning, the beach service is exceptional with a 5-star rating! The food is also outstanding, receiving a perfect 5 stars! I highly recommend dining at the restaurant where every dish is truly fantastic and reasonably priced. Honestly, it offers some of the finest food in Taormina.

We had a fantastic time at La Pigna! The service was both friendly and efficient, and the beach itself is stunning, with a distinctively Italian style. For breakfast, we enjoyed delicious cappuccinos and toasted sandwiches served right on our sunbeds. Later, we indulged in a delightful lunch at the hidden seafood restaurant located at the opposite end of the beach. At La Pigna, you have access to convenient amenities such as showers, changing rooms, and clean toilets. Additionally, we took advantage of their shuttle service, although it's important to remember to book in advance, as they were unfortunately unable to accommodate everyone on the day we visited.

The beach was a fantastic place to soak up the sun and relax with a magazine. The prices are reasonable when compared to other beach destinations. However, it doesn't quite match the luxurious image portrayed on the website. It's not exactly a cozy beach lounge. During our visit in April, we paid 10 euros for a half-day sunbed rental and 15 euros for a full day.
