The beach in the Messina area is a gem - it's small, but it's excellent and peaceful. The sea is absolutely stunning, and the best part is that the beaches are free and even have showers. The waterfront is very pleasant, and the cleaning is top-notch. I spent 10 days there, truly relaxing and enjoying endless swims. And in the village, there are some fantastic bakeries and pastry shops.
I hope you have a pleasant and enjoyable time at the beach, with the waves, sun, wind, and stunning panoramic view.
The beach offers excellent amenities, such as toilets every 200 meters, wheelchair access platforms, free bins, and showers every 100 meters, as well as a lifeguard on duty. The beach is well-maintained and clean, providing a wonderful view. The way the municipal administration manages it sets a high standard not only for Sicily but for the entire country. It demonstrates how a public resource should be managed, making swimming accessible, free, and of top-notch quality. Kudos to them. In the morning, the sea is clear and enjoyable, with gentle waves despite the strong north wind. The beach itself is pleasant, with small pebbles instead of sand. The only downside, for which the beach administrators cannot be held responsible, is that in the afternoon, under certain weather conditions, waste from the Strait of Messina may drift towards the coast, detracting from the beauty of the sea and making the experience less enjoyable. Despite being easily accessible by train from Messina, Catania, and Syracuse (with the station just 100 meters from the sea), the beach is not overly crowded. It is truly deserving of the Blue Flag distinction.
First and foremost, there is an abundant supply of free parking spaces (once the plants along the waterfront grow a bit more, we'll also have some additional shade). Additionally, the beach seems to stretch on endlessly, with shower facilities and designated bins for recycling. Moreover, the sea is remarkably clear (earning a blue flag status). In summary, this beach offers comfort, affordability, cleanliness, organization, and breathtaking views, providing pure relaxation. Take a glance at the photos, they truly speak for themselves, 😎
The beach is lovely and perfect for families with kids, although it's not sandy. It's peaceful and secure, with a lifeguard service available. The entire coastline has received the blue flag award. Just a short distance from the beach, there is a promenade that offers all the necessary amenities for a relaxing day by the sea, such as bars, restaurants, supermarkets, ice cream shops, and even a post office and bank. The only downside is that the area can get a bit windy.
