The beach offers plenty of free space, but it's not well maintained by its regular visitors. The water is relatively clean and safe for families with children up to 13 or 14 years old. Despite its shortcomings, the beach is still a pleasant place to spend time by the sea.
The beach has the potential to be stunning, with a newly renovated vintage lido that exudes charm. However, the management seems inexperienced and unseasoned. For those who appreciate romantic settings, this beach will surely appeal to you. The quality of the sea can vary depending on the day, but during my visit in 2020, it was satisfactory. It is a shame that the Municipality of Mondragone has neglected the access roads and the vast, free beach, resulting in it being abandoned and left to waste. Furthermore, the behavior of certain visitors lacks civility.
Mondragone's beach is a serene haven where the tranquil waters of the sea meet the soft sand. The beach is pristine and immaculate, especially in the month of July. Despite being a popular destination, the beach is not overrun with crowds, even on Sundays.
The public beach is quite dirty, and the clarity of the sea varies depending on the currents. Sometimes it's crystal clear, while other times there are red algae present.
The beach offers a lovely pine forest that is perfect for families with young kids who enjoy the ocean. It's conveniently within walking distance and offers a serene atmosphere for those seeking tranquility. However, it may be too peaceful for some. Although access to the pine forest and lido is restricted, there are still occasional trespassers. Overall, I enjoyed my time there.
