Tung Wan Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 24th place out of 87 beaches in the Hong Kong region The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

I visited this beach for the first time in September 2022 and was pleased to find lifeguard services. I swam out to the three floating platforms, even though the water was a bit choppy. There were also other amenities for swimmers.
