To access the sandy beach, one must descend a lengthy staircase. The beach is well-appointed with lockers and a shower area. Occasionally, there may be piles of garbage present.
The beach is quite nice for a relaxed afternoon spent reading, especially with the cool autumn breeze. By 2pm, half of the beach is already in the shade due to its North-East facing direction. This makes it perfect for kids to play in the sand without worrying about the sun's heat. Adults have the option to sunbathe or stay in the shade. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy the beauty of the world.
Although the beach is lovely, it can be quite difficult to reach due to the hundreds of steps or the very steep road. It takes approximately 25 minutes to walk from Mtr Hang Hau, or a quick 6-minute cab ride.
This beach is small but incredibly stunning.
While the water may not be of the best quality, I appreciate the scenic view and the fact that it's not overly crowded. There are plenty of shaded areas to set up a tent or simply relax, although the number of changing rooms is limited. However, the shower areas make up for this shortfall.
