The location is absolutely stunning with its clear and sparkling waters, and the scenery is nothing short of magical. However, it's not the best idea to be on a ferry that's packed with people. The beach is always teeming with visitors who arrive non-stop on the ferries, making it too overcrowded for comfort. Despite this, I would definitely return to this place, but on a rented boat, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big boats. I had a great time swimming in the water and was fascinated by the diverse array of fish that I encountered.
The hues of the ocean are absolutely breathtaking. The shore is lined with a mixture of sand and rocks, creating a picturesque scene. It is highly recommended to bring an umbrella as the sun can be quite intense with limited shade available.
Don't miss out on a trip to paradise! Take a daily cruise to Gramvousa island and Balos beach, and experience the turquoise waters and Venetian fortress. Remember to pack water, sunscreen, a diving mask, snorkel, and water shoes. If you have an umbrella, bring it along to secure some shade. It's a highly recommended destination, but be prepared for crowds. Opt for a smaller boat to avoid congestion and make the most of your beach experience.
The beach is stunning, but it tends to get overcrowded despite its limited size. Additionally, the sand is a gorgeous golden hue.
Climbing up to the fortress for pictures was a wonderful experience. The ascent from the boat and back down takes around an hour, depending on your physical condition and how crowded it is. Don't forget to take some snaps of the beautiful golden sand beach while you're up there!
