The beach is absolutely stunning and has a more untouched feel to it. Although it does require a bit of time and effort to get there by car (we drove from Papadiana), having a 4WD vehicle is not essential. When we arrived, the waves were quite large, so we decided to stay near some impressive cliff formations and found a small natural pool. From there, we had a great time watching the waves crash against the cliffs and enjoyed the refreshing splashes. Apart from two individuals who came for a swim, we had the entire beach to ourselves.
The beach offers a beautiful view and has a fantastic rocky shoreline. Although it may not be easily accessible, it is still manageable. We had the entire beach to ourselves for half a day! We even thought we spotted some dolphins.
The road leading to this beach is very narrow and unpaved, with trees lining both sides that come dangerously close to the car. It was impossible to drive a rented car to this beach from the south.
Keramoti beach in Crete is a secluded paradise! It's always peaceful and uncrowded, and the ocean is absolutely stunning! The beach is rocky, but the water is incredibly clear and pristine. These breathtaking photos were captured with a GoPro from the nearby hill, showcasing the incredible view.
This beach is slightly less popular than Elafonissi due to the fact that it requires a short walk down and back up, as well as a rocky dirt road. However, it is definitely worth the effort! The water is absolutely beautiful and there are great opportunities for snorkeling right from the beach if you have your gear with you.
