If you're seeking a serene coastal experience, head to Ammos beach on the western side of town when the winds are high. The sea is much more tranquil during these times, allowing you to bask in the crystal-clear waters. The sight of the majestic mountains folding into the distance is simply breathtaking. However, the beach and water are covered in large pebbles, which can be uncomfortable without proper footwear. Investing in a pair of water shoes from one of the local shops for €10 will transform your experience and prevent your feet from getting battered. Otherwise, your enthusiasm for this stunning beach may wane.
The water at this beach is remarkably pristine and tranquil. Despite the blustery conditions on the opposite side of town, the sea here remains as serene as can be. The initial stretch of coastline is comprised of stones and small rocks, but beyond that, it's just soft sand. While it may not be the most exciting spot for snorkeling, it's still a solid choice overall. Additionally, parking is a breeze, as you can easily park right alongside the shore.
The beach is simply splendid. One can easily rent sunbeds and umbrellas to relax and soak up the sun.
The beach is pleasant, however, the presence of pebbles and murky water detract from its appeal.
This captivating shoreline, famously referred to as Votsala beach, boasts crystal-clear waters that sparkle in the sun. Despite the slight chill in the air during the month of June, the refreshing waters still beckon visitors to take a dip and enjoy the serene surroundings.
