The beach is fantastic. The water is incredibly clear and the beach itself is well-maintained. It's conveniently accessible and not difficult to reach. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The beach is well-organized with umbrellas and seating available. Additionally, finding parking is a breeze.

On September 4th, 2020, we drove from Chania, where the temperature was a scorching 38 °C, only to discover that the castle was closed for reconstruction. Surprisingly, there was no information about this on the Internet, which was quite unfair to us tourists as we ended up wasting half a day. It would be greatly appreciated if they could provide better updates to the public regarding the castle's availability in the future. Nonetheless, the fortress itself appeared incredibly impressive. The beach is absolutely stunning. Despite the current situation with the pandemic, it is not overcrowded. Additionally, there is convenient free parking available, making it a great choice for families. Moreover, there is a small reef perfect for snorkeling, and the water is not too deep. If you're interested in renting sunbeds, they are available for a reasonable price of 5€ for the entire day.
