The ratings for this beach are too high. The water is comparable to Episkopi beach, which is only a 5-minute drive away. The quality of the sunbeds and umbrellas is lower here. It's not bad, but it doesn't have that dreamy quality. Personally, I would suggest choosing Episkopi beach instead because the sunbeds are more comfortable and the umbrella is of better quality. You have to pay 5 euros for them, and I think the taverna Kyma is really nice.
The beach has a smooth sandy shoreline that is ideal for children. One of the highlights is the exciting activity of hunting for crabs, which can be found along the rocky path leading to the church on the left side. It's definitely a fun experience!
The beach is located by the road, but the sand is perfect and the water is crystal-clear, warm, with just the right amount of waves. It's not overly crowded and is perfect for families with children. It's definitely one of the best beaches we've been to in Crete.
The beach is absolutely lovely with its soft sand and there are plenty of sunbeds available. I highly recommend the ones from Poseidon - if you make a purchase at their tavern, you can enjoy the sunbeds for free!
The beach is well-maintained and pleasant. It offers a stunning view and the water is comfortably warm. I noticed people strolling with their dogs and even horseback riding along the shoreline. In general, it's a lovely spot for leisurely walks in the morning or evening, and a great opportunity to get a sun-kissed tan during a week-long vacation. 😊
