Paralia Varis is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 146th place out of 1022 beaches in the South Aegean region 6.1 km away from its center, the city of Ermoupoli. It is one of the beaches of Vari settlement, just 0.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

Although this beach may not be anything extraordinary, it's a great option on windy days since it's situated within a small gulf. Additionally, it's easily accessible. Families with young children will appreciate the lack of waves, and there are a few free umbrellas available from the municipality. For those who want to grab a bite or a drink, there are restaurants and cafes nearby. However, the beach can get crowded due to its small size. The water is quite shallow, and there are some stones to watch out for when entering the sea. While there is a parking area, it's not very large and can accommodate around 20-30 cars.

That place is absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit, especially since it's easily accessible. However, it does tend to get quite crowded during the summer months, so it's recommended to reserve sunbeds beforehand if you don't have an umbrella. The water is crystal clear and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby where you can grab a bite or a coffee. Overall, it's one of the best beaches in Syros.
