One of my top picks for beaches on Allonisos is this one, which I love just as much as Vithisma. The sand is a beautiful golden color, making it even more appealing.
This beach in Alonissos is the best one around, and it's unique in that it has golden sand that gradually slopes into the water.
The beach is beautiful with its golden sand, but it tends to get quite crowded.
The beach features a stunning expanse of fine sand and crystal-clear waters, offering visitors a serene and picturesque setting to unwind and soak up the sun. One of the unique features that stood out to us was the thoughtful arrangement of the beach bar's sun beds, which were positioned away from the water's edge, allowing ample space for those who prefer to bring their own umbrellas. This is a rare find and adds to the overall charm and appeal of the beach.
Located on Alonissos island, this beach boasts a single, smooth sandy entrance into the sea with shallow waters extending over 30 meters before reaching deeper waters. While this makes for a lovely swimming experience, it also means that the beach can get quite crowded. Families often bring their own umbrellas and set up camp directly in front of your sunbeds, making it difficult to find a peaceful spot. However, if you head to the left side of the beach, you can avoid the crowds, though you may experience a weak or nonexistent Wi-Fi signal from the nearby restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, the staff is friendly and accommodating, making it easy to order food and drinks without having to leave your spot on the sand. This beach truly shines after sunset, when the atmosphere becomes even more pleasant, and taking a midnight dip in the sea is a magical experience.
