The beach is incredibly clean and peaceful, and conveniently just a 10-minute drive from the monastery. The route is clearly marked with signs, so there's no need to worry about getting lost. While there are some sea urchins present, they are mainly concentrated on the right side of the beach. Access to the left side is easy and there aren't many urchins to worry about. Shade is only available under the trees or next to the rocks, but it's still a great place to relax. Unfortunately, the lack of attention from the municipality is noticeable, as the trash cans were overflowing.
Old Trikeri, located in the Pagasitiko gulf, is an ideal destination for a peaceful vacation due to its deserted nature.
The beach itself is great, but unfortunately the municipality seems to have abandoned the area and it's full of garbage. It's really sad to see plastic bottles, straws, and other debris scattered everywhere, even in the lovely forest and on the beaches. It's especially disheartening to see these pollutants in the beautiful blue-green waters. We really enjoyed the island, but it was also a bit of a letdown to see all the trash. I'll post some pictures to show what I mean.
The beach on Palaio Trikeri island is simply stunning. The water is a gorgeous shade of green and the beach itself is secluded and not well-known. This is due to the fact that the only way to access it is by boat or by taking a challenging path from the other side of the island. However, we decided to take the path and it was absolutely worth it.
The beach is a true gem with its stunning sea water hues and the added bonus of shade from the olive trees.
