It is one of the beaches of Paou settlement, just 0.7 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a small bay with green pure water and brown pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Megali Pau is not the best spot for swimming since it resembles a harbor more than a beach. However, if you head over to Mikri Pau near the monastery, there is more room for sunbathers. Nevertheless, Megali Pau is a great place to catch a stunning sunset.

The beach is petite and has a lot of natural shade. Access is via a dirt road that leads to a parking area located under olive trees. The beach is covered in pebbles and small stones.

Megali Pau is a small village on the way to Horto, just 6 km from Argalasti. If you venture 4 km outside the village towards Pagasitikos, you'll find the beautiful Byzantine Monastery of Agios Nikolaos, nestled among cypress and olive trees. Camping enthusiasts will be pleased to know that there's a campsite in the area. The beach is covered in plane trees and has lovely pebbles. Both Big and Little Pau offer calm baths in their clear, blue-green waters, surrounded by lush greenery. These beaches are a hidden gem, not yet discovered by the masses, so you can enjoy a peaceful swim even in the busy summer months. Just a little further down the coast, you'll find the beaches of Kalamos and Hortos, where you might even spot some sea turtles. Mikri Pau is a charming coastal village with a stunning sandy and pebble beach. And if you're looking for a quiet spot, Belian beach is situated between Kalamos and Pau and is free from the noise of passing cars. The waters here are shallow and calm, making it a perfect spot for families with children.

The only drawback is the presence of sea urchins, but if you remain vigilant, it won't be a problem.
