Platanitis beach is located on the Gulf of Corinth (part of Ionian Sea) and it is in the 122th place out of 166 beaches in the Western Greece region 10.7 km away from its center, the city of Patrasso. It is one of the beaches of Karaoulia settlement, just 0.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views.

It is a straight coastline with green water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

I arrived at the beach after coming from s/k and decided to make a quick stop at the company for a coffee. However, the friendly staff and the enjoyable atmosphere ended up persuading us to stay for the entire day, indulging in food, drinks, wine, and even taking a refreshing swim. Well done!

The beach is owned by a lovely elderly couple who are very friendly and kind. They offer a perfect variety of items, most of which are handmade and delicious. While the price is not the cheapest in the area, it is definitely worth it. The service may take a bit of time, but everything gets done efficiently during that time. If you're looking for speed and service, it's better to go to a five-star establishment. It's hard for me to understand how people judge everything using the same standards. Everyone has their own preferences, but it's a shame to see a rating of 3.2 for this place. Regarding the beach, you can actually swim almost under the Antirio bridge, which I found to be quite enjoyable. The surrounding environment has a slightly industrial feel, but it still maintains a peaceful atmosphere with only a few people around.

The service at this beach was extremely slow. Some basic menu items were unavailable due to the vegetable supplier not making a stop. The food that was available was cooked well, but the staff could definitely benefit from some lessons in customer service.
