Antirrio beach is located on the Gulf of Patras (part of Ionian Sea) and it is in the 23th place out of 166 beaches in the Western Greece region 9.7 km away from its center, the city of Patras. It is one of the beaches of Antirio settlement, just 0.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a straight coastline with brown water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

I agree that it's a pleasant beach with sandy shores, making it suitable for both older individuals and children. However, it may not be the best choice for a Sunday visit due to the busy beach road, where cars and motorbikes are parked on both sides. Moreover, it's unfortunate that there are no stores readily offering a bucket of water for stray animals. These factors influenced my decision to give it a 4-star rating.

The beach is absolutely stunning and peaceful, making it a perfect spot for families and kids. There's sandy shoreline both in and out of the water. While it may not be mind-blowing, it's definitely a great place to visit. Additionally, there are coffee shops conveniently located nearby, and the Municipality provides free umbrellas.
