Plage de Cazaux-Lac is located on the Cazaux and Sanguinet pond and it is in the 3th place out of 27 beaches in the Gironde region 58.6 km away from its center, the city of Bordeaux. It is one of the beaches of Cazaux settlement, just 2.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

Cazaux Lac beach is a must-visit! I love going there because the water is clean and calm, making it perfect for small children. It's really great. Additionally, there is ample free parking and plenty of space, which is a huge plus. I appreciate that the beach attracts mostly families, so there is plenty of room and we don't feel crowded next to our neighbors. They also offer pedalo boat rentals, which is a fun activity. Moreover, there are several spots where you can relax and cool off. Trust me, if you go there, you won't be disappointed.

It's a really lovely spot with a stunning, expansive beach made up of soft sand. We decided to head there one evening for a picnic and the soothing sound of the waves added to the overall experience.

The beach is absolutely lovely and definitely worth visiting again. It's best to arrive early to fully enjoy your time there. Although the water was a bit chilly today, we still managed to have a great swim with the kids.

The lake is a pleasant spot for swimming and sunbathing, especially for children since the water is shallow (reaching thigh height) for at least 100 meters from the beach. Additionally, there are restaurants available and paddle boats with a slide for rent. However, finding public toilets may be challenging, so it's advisable to use the restroom at the restaurants when taking a break for ice cream. The sandy beach along the lake's edge resembles most beaches, but with minimal waves, making it ideal for young kids. Furthermore, there is a delightful family holiday atmosphere as well.
