Los Cocos beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 7th place out of 6 beaches in the Mayabeque region 38.2 km away from its center, the city of San Jose de las Lajas. It is one of the beaches of Playa Jibacoa settlement, just 1.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

I visited the beach in November 2022 and found it enjoyable, especially when accompanied by friends. The food was of good quality, there was music, and a variety of offerings.

This was my first camp when I was a teenager, and I believe it was the year they first opened it, in 1998. The camp is quite basic, with a small pool. The service and food are decent. The beach isn't great, but it's perfect for snorkeling. The cabins come with bathrooms.
