When it comes to what to do in Pilar beach, it's impossible not to mention an insanely popular activity: snorkeling. The coastal waters of the region are full of interesting views, which can be observed through a snorkeling mask. Well, if you do not have the necessary equipment for snorkeling - everything can be purchased at the nearby shops.

Extremes can be moderate or excessive, so if you are a fan of the first type, than Pilar beach welcomes you, offering kite and windsurfing. I absolutely adored this beach! The scenery was breathtaking and the experience was unforgettable. Instead of taking the free shuttle from the resort, we opted for a cab ride which only cost $5 Canadian each way. The driver was very accommodating and dropped us off at the boardwalk leading to the beach. He also picked us up at our requested time. Upon arriving, we were offered comfortable loungers with parasols for shade. For only $5 Canadian, we were able to relax in style. We were even offered drinks for an additional $10. A local approached us with an opportunity to take a boat tour to a nearby island for a chance to swim at a semi-private beach. Although we didn't take the offer, it looked like a popular option. As we strolled along the beach, we stumbled upon a charming restaurant with all the amenities. The sand was incredibly soft and white, and the loungers with parasols provided excellent shade coverage. The VIP service we received from the restaurant

Prepare to shell out CAD or USD 5$ for each chair if you plan on lounging on this beach. Don't bother hoping for any drink service, as you'll need to bring all your own refreshments. While the beach may be visually impressive, it's not enough to make up for the lack of amenities. If you're looking for excitement, you may be disappointed as the only thing available are excursions.

This beach boasts the softest sand one can ever lay their feet on, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon. Visitors have the option to rent chairs and quaint huts for added comfort, while also indulging in a scrumptious lunch. A truly beautiful destination for a relaxing day by the sea.

Seven measly days in this so-called "beautiful" country are never enough. You waste a couple of days just getting there, and before you know it, the other five days are gone in a blink of an eye. Sure, the entertainment is decent, but it's nothing to write home about. They try to make it interactive, but it's just a desperate attempt to keep you from being bored out of your mind. There's something for everyone, but let's be real, it's all just a cheap attempt to make a quick buck off of tourists. The staff is friendly enough, but that's just part of their job description. Don't be fooled by their fake smiles and over-the-top service, they're just trying to get a good tip out of you. As for me, I won't be wasting my time planning another visit.
