Playa Bacuranao is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 3th place out of 9 beaches in the Havana region 12.9 km away from its center, the city of Havana. It is one of the beaches of Barreras settlement, just 4.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

4 Frustrating

Oh my! The beach is in a sorry state, with litter and decay marring the beauty of the sparkling water. It's truly disheartening to see such a natural wonder being tarnished in this way. To all those who visit this beach, please take care to dispose of your waste responsibly and not pollute the ocean or the beach. Let's come together as responsible citizens and organize regular cleanups to preserve the pristine beauty of this coastal gem.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the vicinity of Havana can be found here. I had the opportunity to snorkel for three hours with the marine life, including fishes and corals. Additionally, if you venture further into the bay, you may come across a sunken boat.

The sandy shore is pleasant enough, but let's not kid ourselves - it's hardly pristine. The litter and debris strewn about make it clear that this is not a beach that's been lovingly cared for. While it may be passable for a quick dip, don't expect to be wowed by the cleanliness of the surroundings.

The staff at this beach resort are absolutely delightful and the location is truly unbeatable. The pool is fantastic and the beach, though small, is still quite lovely. The cleanliness of the resort is impeccable. However, the food leaves much to be desired and there are some issues with plumbing and water. Additionally, there is an occasional unpleasant odor from an oil rig when the wind is not in our favor. Despite these challenges, this resort is the closest to Havana in the Playa del Estes area. It is my sincerest hope that they are able to overcome these obstacles and continue to provide a wonderful experience for their guests.

The snorkeling experience at this beach surpassed my expectations with multiple sunken shops to discover. However, I must admit that the beach itself was quite disappointing. The amount of trash scattered everywhere was disheartening, and the constant harassment from vendors was a nuisance. The swarms of house flies hovering around didn't make the situation any better. Even in the water, there was an alarming amount of trash until I swam out further. Despite these setbacks, I would still recommend this beach for snorkeling enthusiasts. However, I wouldn't recommend it for a relaxing beach day.
