In July 2020, I embarked on a graduation trip with my pals to Pag, where we stumbled upon my all-time favorite beach. We reached the beach via kayak, and to our surprise, we were the only ones there. The breathtaking panorama of the beach is truly enchanting and has the power to transport you to another world, even if just for a moment. It's a must-visit destination that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
In my opinion, the most stunning beach on the island of Pag consists of two small stretches of sand divided by rocks. The underwater world is teeming with a variety of fish, making it a great spot for snorkeling. One of the beaches offers ample shade in September, providing a respite from the sun. To reach this hidden gem, take a leisurely stroll along the blue trail to Zaton's beaches, then veer left onto the path frequented by sheep. The final descent to the beach is steep, so proceed with caution. While it's possible to arrive by foot, traveling by sea is a quicker and easier option.
This beach is absolutely stunning and offers breathtaking views. We made our way there on foot from Mali Zaton beach, which took us about 45 minutes from the parking area. The path leading to the beach is quite steep, so taking a boat might be a better option. The water's edge is easy to access and the water is pristine, with plenty of marine life to observe. It's an ideal spot for a romantic day out for two.
The grotto is pretty cool, but it does have a bit of a smell. This beach isn't accessible from the mainland, but we swam over from Mali Zaton beach and had a cool experience snorkeling with an octopus - my son loved it! Getting there involves a hike through the mountains, which can be challenging for inexperienced hikers. You'll need to pass through an open gate and park on a small green area, making sure not to go too far down the slope. Follow the trail of the sheep and stay at the same height until you reach the final slope, which is a bit easier. The terrain is rough and thorny, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes. I made the mistake of wearing sandals!
This stunning beach boasts an idyllic natural setting, complete with crystal-clear blue waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The area is also home to fascinating caves and an array of colorful fish, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts and beachgoers alike. Whether you're looking to relax on the sand or explore the underwater world, this beach offers something for everyone. So why not pack your bags and head to this picturesque destination for a truly unforgettable experience?
