Skaket beach

This stunning beach is perfect for visitors of all ages, particularly during low tide when you have approximately three hours to explore the Bay and its eight to ten tide pools. However, be mindful of the incoming tide, which can rise quickly, especially if you have children with you. Parking can be pricey, with rates up to $30 per day unless you have a beach sticker for your vehicle. It's best to arrive before 11am to secure a spot, as the lot can fill up quickly and you may be forced to wait for someone to leave.

This stunning beach is managed by the National Park Service and offers a hassle-free experience with its inclusive parking and tram ride fees. The presence of bathrooms, showers, and lifeguards ensures a comfortable and safe time. As you soak up the refreshing water, you may even spot one to three seals swimming nearby. However, it's important to stay vigilant and close to shore due to the possibility of sharks. Despite this, the beach is undeniably beautiful, and we were fortunate enough to have a perfect day. It's a reminder that we are a part of the food chain, but the experience is worth it.

This picturesque shoreline is truly enchanting. It's at its best during low tide when you can stroll through the shallow waters that reach your ankles or knees. The sand is velvety soft, making it a delight to walk on. Although there are a few pebbles scattered along the beach, once you've passed them, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the sunset.

This beach is not ideal for beachgoers due to the abundance of barnacles and rocks scattered along the water's edge.

I had the most enchanting time at the seaside! The water was pristine and refreshing, striking the perfect balance between cool and warm. The beach itself was immaculate, boasting a fine, velvety sand that was a delight to walk on. It was a relief to find clean restrooms and a food truck on-site, and I couldn't resist indulging in some ice cream from the nearby truck. While swimming, I caught sight of some seals frolicking in the water, which was a real treat. Although there was a brief one-hour shark warning, the active surf made for an exhilarating swim. All in all, it was truly a day in paradise!
