Playa Puerto Agua Verde

The drive to get there may be a bit unconventional, but it is definitely worth it. The beach itself is stunning, and Leonor, the host, is absolutely amazing. Her fish tacos are mouthwatering, served with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and two types of chili condiments. It's worth taking the time to have a conversation with her, as she has an incredible story to share. We will definitely be returning without any hesitation.

This particular beach in Loreto is undoubtedly the finest. Although the sand pit might appear intimidating at first, with a little momentum, it's a breeze to navigate, especially if you're driving a truck. If you're in a car, look for a small sign that reads 2 wheel camping about 200 meters up the road. Once you've arrived at the beach, go all the way to the end on the right-hand side, where you'll find a small palapa. On weekends, it's usually a favorite spot for locals, so it's best to visit during the week when it's less crowded. We hardly saw anyone during our visit. The best snorkeling is around the rocks on the right side. If you can paddle board or kayak out to the small island, it's an experience of a lifetime. It's the closest I've ever been to such an incredible amount of fish, starfish, and urchins, not to mention the birds. During our stay, we even discovered four new turtle nests, so be cautious when driving.

The beach is located in a picturesque bay near highway 1. Although the hotel staff wasn't very helpful in providing information on how to reach the beach, don't give up because there is a public parking lot and easy access to the entire beach.

Playa Nopolo

The water is incredibly clear and free from any algae. The beach has a beautiful sandy shoreline and offers a magnificent view. The water remains relatively calm, making it perfect for swimming. The beach is rated a solid 10. Moreover, the pathway that leads between the houses is exceptionally stunning.

Playa Ligui

This stretch of sand and sea is indeed visually striking, but let's not forget that beauty is only skin deep. Despite its allure, this beach is a ghost town during the chilly month of February in 2023. It's almost as if the locals know something we don't. Perhaps the frigid temperatures and biting winds are not the best companions for a leisurely day by the water. Regardless, if you're looking for a deserted and windswept beach, this may be the spot for you.

Playa San Cosme

You'll find yourself lost in the tranquility of the surroundings, as the gentle waves lull you into a state of relaxation. This is a place where time seems to stand still, and you'll want to savor every last second of your stay. Whether you're looking to soak up the sun or take a refreshing dip in the ocean, this beach has it all. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience this breathtaking destination for yourself.
