Playa Vista Al Mar is located on the Gulf of California (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 106th place out of 133 beaches in the Baja California Sur region 218.7 km away from its center, the city of La Paz. It is one of the beaches of Loreto settlement, just 14.5 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal blue water and gray sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, partygoers, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

We only stopped for drinks. We loved the ambience. Would be an awesome to chill for an afternoon. The sound of the surf and wind chimes was so soothing.

During clam season, this place is the best, but sadly , this time, no clams at all. Other foods are very tasty. It's a little too far from the centro. You need to take a taxi (about US$35 r/t).or have your own car.

Margaritas were good but commu inaction problem w/shrimp, being fried they were so charmed but on retry,, your supos3d to eat dry/charred w/shell that didn't taste good at all. Couldn't eat, but charged for second one even though still couldn't eat. Friends had garlic scallops and shrimp which were yummy and plentiful.

If you come to Loreto you eat at Vista Al Mar (aka The Clam Shack). We had Fish Tacos, Octopus Tacos, baked Clams with Garlic and Butter and the most flavorful Shrimp Cocktail ever... and the Margaritas were a fresh compliment to the meal. I highly recommend. 🤩👍

If your are looking for authentic Mexican Mariscos this is the place to go. Seafood was fresh, what i expected real mariscos to tast. The view of the beach is spectacular. Stay away from the anglonized overpriced restarant in Loreto. Vista al Mar is worth the 10 minute drive out of Loreto
