Resting by the sea for each traveler is associated with different activities. Someone loves complete relaxation and silence, while others need activity. Our configurator will always help you choose a beach that meets your personal needs.

If a beach holiday for you is primarily the sound of the surf, the cries of seagulls over the pier and leisurely walks along the coast, then you are definitely a fan of calm beaches. The most popular beaches for such a holiday in the vicinity of Sondrio are Spiaggia Camping Abbadia Lariana, Spiaggia La Foppa, Spiaggia di Sorico.

Travelers with pets often face difficulties during their holidays, as there is often not enough information about pet-friendly beaches. The absence of special permission signs and the lack of up-to-date information on relevant resources are frequent problems. To solve this need, we are developing a special "Pet Friendly" filter and try to keep the information up to date. According to our records, there are about 6 approved pet-friendly beaches in Sondrio

The list of available beach activities is certainly important, but for many travelers it is not a determining factor when choosing a vacation spot. Below you will find some information about the natural features of the beaches of Sondrio, we hope that this information will help you find the place of your dreams.

The beaches of town are mainly narrow. According to reviews of major beach experts and vacationers, most beaches have a high level of cleanliness. Pebbly beaches dominate the rest!

As pebble rocky beaches are common here, it's recommended to bring aqua shoes if you're sensitive to it. This way, your vacation will be as comfortable as possible.

Usually, the depth increases normally. If this is important to you, always use our filter to check for a particular beach.

A not-so-pleasant feature of the beaches in Sondrio is the high density of boats, yachts, or other watercraft on some of them. There are about 9 such beaches, but this may vary depending on the season. If this is a concern for you, we recommend carefully checking the beaches of interest for this issue using our Boat filter.

Lierna Beach

This beach on Lake Como is stunning! It's perfect for swimming and unwinding. There's plenty of grass and shade, plus a great cafe for lunch or a glass of wine.

Spiaggia libera "Piccola Tahiti"

While passing through Marone, I decided to make a stop and check out the renowned Tahiti beach. To locate it, you can follow the directions to the library, and once you reach some ladders, you can descend to the famous Tahiti beach. Despite the presence of algae on the shore, the water is clean and shallow, making it suitable for children. Additionally, the view of the lake is incredibly beautiful. Now, let's discuss the beach itself, which is not well-maintained and consists of a combination of pebbles, sand, and a small patch of grass, if you can even call it that. Contrary to my expectations based on the reviews, I didn't find it to be a remarkable place. Unfortunately, there are no kiosk toilets available, so you'll have to walk about 300/400 meters to the ice cream bar. I would recommend this beach if you're just passing through and need a relaxing break, but I strongly advise against spending a full day here. Parking in the area is available.

Bau Bau Beach

Today, my furry friend Ugo and I had a delightful time spending four hours on Bau Bau Beach Malpensata. The beach is conveniently secured by two gates at each entrance, which allowed us to let Ugo run freely. The water is crystal clear and pristine, and there is even a fountain for dogs to drink from, though unfortunately it was not functioning today. Admission is free and unmonitored, so feel free to bring your own blankets and umbrellas. While there is shade in the morning, it does decrease as the day goes on. Parking is available at the train station, which is just a five-minute walk away and costs €1.50 per hour. Simply follow the blue wallpaper path to the stairs that lead directly down to the beach, which is marked with a sign that reads "spiaggia per cani".
