A serene stroll amidst the mangrove forest leads to a vast and protected beach, adorned with a handful of tables and ample space to unwind. The beach is extensive, albeit slightly coarse with pebbles, and not entirely composed of soft sand. Several large yachts are anchored offshore, enhancing the picturesque view.
This beach is indeed a sight for sore eyes, but let's not get too carried away with the beauty of it all. It's not like it's the only beach on St John that isn't packed like sardines. However, I will give it credit where credit is due - the snorkeling is pretty impressive. And don't even get me started on the sea turtles. There's enough of them to make you wonder if they're plotting a takeover of the island. Overall, it's a decent spot to soak up some sun and take a dip in the ocean, but let's not pretend like it's the holy grail of beaches.
The beach was an absolute delight - serene and stunning! It had all the amenities one could ask for - ample parking, clean restrooms, excellent snorkeling spots, and shaded areas. We arrived around 11:30 in the morning and were able to find a spot without any hassle. If you plan to stay for a while after lunch, I would recommend bringing a beach tent or setting up your chair under the trees for some respite from the sun.
This serene and stunning beach is a true gem! I had an absolute blast snorkeling and was fortunate enough to witness a plethora of marine life, including a sea cucumber, a few rays, and even some magnificent brain coral. The peaceful atmosphere was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The beach is truly stunning and an ideal spot for snorkeling enthusiasts! We were lucky enough to witness an abundance of diverse marine life, including an array of colorful fish and graceful sea turtles.
