Elephant seals relaxing, strong winds, and big waves create a memorable Pacific coast adventure. The parking lot is located at the visitor center, which also has restrooms and a seasonal restaurant. It's a great spot to take a walk and soak in the salty, humid air.

This beach offers a picturesque drive through lush green hills and pastures, leading to sandy cliffs that overlook a beach filled with elephant seals and giant banana slugs. It's a must-visit for those who love exploring and sightseeing.

Male elephant seals have arrived at the beach. In a few weeks, females will arrive to give birth, and the beach will soon be filled with hundreds of them.

This beach is a great spot to catch the annual Sand Castle competition at Pt Reyes National Seashore on the last Saturday of August, just before Labor Day weekend. There is a large parking lot nearby and a building with a small cafe/food store that offers hot beverages and snacks on select weekends. Be sure to check the Pt Reyes National Seashore website in the spring, as the beach may be closed to the public during seal pupping season.

This beach is definitely one of the best I've been to. When we arrived on a Monday morning around 11 am, we had the whole place to ourselves for about 30 minutes. The water was clean and felt refreshing on our feet. What stood out to me the most about this beach was its appearance. The cliffs and clean golden sand made it quite photogenic, and the sand wasn't blowing all over the place. In front of the parking area, there is a small pond with several ducks. The restrooms are tucked inside the visitor center.
