It was a fun beach for the kids. Ours collected a bunch of rocks and pebbles for hours. The water was pretty cold but refreshing to get into in the summertime. Overall, it wasn't overly crowded, and it was clean with water sports and activities nearby. Be sure to bring your own towels and lounge chairs/tents because there's nowhere to rent once you're there. Parking is hard to find since spaces along the beach were limited. We had a fun time and stayed there for 3 hours.
This park at kings beach is a very comfortable place to spend the day. Came here on a very nice weather during the sunset
Amazing place to view sunset. Water is crystal clear and best place for kids to play with nice sand. Water activity like kayak and paddle board is available for rent. Paid car parking spots available next to beach. Car parking charges $10/day.
There is a convenient beachside parking lot located right in the center. During my visit in June 2023, the hourly rate was $3, while the entire day cost $10. We decided to park our car there early in the morning before embarking on a long hike and later a kayak tour. It provided us with peace of mind knowing that our car would be secure throughout the day, alleviating any worries about finding a suitable parking spot. The Tahoe area can be somewhat unclear in terms of parking availability, so having this option removed a lot of concerns from our minds.
Beautiful beach with lots of ducks and seagulls, and nice golden sand. It can get pretty windy though. There's a pier there as well which isn't too crowded. The ducks are comfortable with people and don't fly away easily. Got some great close up photos.
