This beach along the coastal trail was an absolute delight! I highly suggest timing your visit during low tide to explore the fascinating tide pools. The picturesque scenery makes for a perfect backdrop for photographers and sun-worshippers alike. Be sure to snap some sunset shots before you leave, because this beach is truly a gem.
The Yurok Loop coastal trail offers breathtaking views as it winds its way above the coastline, weaving in and out of the trees. Upon reaching the beach, a vast expanse of driftwood and rocks awaits, providing ample opportunities for both the young and the young at heart to explore and climb. A true adventure for all who visit.
Taking a trip to this beach is a must-see experience that will leave you in awe! It's conveniently located across the street from Trees of Mystery.
The beach is stunning and requires a bit of a hike to get to. You can take the hidden beach trail or the coastal trail (we chose the latter). The descent is a bit steep, but the effort is worthwhile. There is an abundance of driftwood piled up, so if you have trouble with balance, this may not be the best beach for you. When we visited, there was not much sand on the beach, mainly rocks and driftwood. Nevertheless, it was incredibly beautiful.
Wow! The beach is absolutely stunning! However, be cautious of the numerous drift logs and large rocks scattered around. It's important to watch your step and never turn your back on the waves. The beach can be conveniently accessed through a short spur off of the Coastal Trail or a 0.7 mile trail from the north edge of the Motel Trees on Highway 101, across from Trees of Mystery.
