This place is absolutely stunning, incredibly serene and tranquil. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking!
Parking at the beach is extremely limited, especially on weekends. There are plenty of picturesque views for photography enthusiasts, but finding a parking spot can be quite challenging.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous! It can get quite breezy at times, but who doesn't enjoy the refreshing wind and the occasional sand whipping? The coastline in Monterey and Pacific Grove is truly breathtaking. I highly suggest making a stop and taking a short stroll. It was truly an incredible experience.
To the north, there is a fantastic rocky spot that provides breathtaking ocean views. It's important to visit during low tide to ensure your feet stay dry as you follow the pipe and make your way across to the green-topped rock formation. It's advisable to park nearby and bring a towel in case the tide rises or the waves become rough. There is a designated bird nesting area which is protected, but in close proximity, you can enjoy unparalleled sights of otters, shore birds, and the crashing waves against the rocks and shore.
The area south of Monterey is absolutely stunning. Our main purpose of visiting was to explore tide pools, but we were slightly disappointed by the limited selection. However, it was still a wonderful experience overall. If you're interested in finding hermit crabs, you'll be amazed by the countless numbers of them here. Parking is convenient and free, and the breathtaking views seem to stretch endlessly.
