This beach is undoubtedly one of my top picks in the area. The strolls along the shore and vistas are simply enchanting and serene. I implore you to treat this spot with respect and preserve its natural charm. ✨️
As we journeyed from north to south, we made sure to pause at every vista point, beginning with Elephant seal vista point, as the light hide was unfortunately closed at the time of our visit. This hide is only open for two hours, three days a week. For those in need of public restrooms, William R. Hearst State Beach is the closest option. Additionally, this beach grants access to the pier, which can be spotted from the 101. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the restrooms were well-maintained, boasting four single stalls. It's worth noting that there is a restroom located at each corner of the building. Throughout our visit, we observed several groups enjoying picnics at the various tables scattered throughout the site.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the boardwalk leading to the bay is simply delightful. You'll be treated to breathtaking views of the coastline and the beach itself. The restrooms are immaculately clean and very well kept. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic or take a quick break while cruising down Highway 1.
Looking for a perfect spot to spend quality time with your loved ones or furry friends? Look no further than this beach! The parking lot is conveniently located and, best of all, there are no fees to worry about. At the end of the beach, you can explore a trail that leads to San Simeon Pointe. The trail is easy to navigate and offers breathtaking views of Hearst Castle. And if you're in the mood for a leisurely stroll, the pier is a must-visit spot to take in the stunning views. Don't miss out on this wonderful beach experience!
The beach is tolerable, but hardly exceptional. It's free to use, but don't expect anything extraordinary. There's a hiking trail that ventures onto private property, which is technically accessible to the public, but it's hardly worth the effort. The views are decent, but the trees are unremarkable. Overall, it's an underwhelming experience.
