The beach is an absolute paradise that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable experience with their loved ones. The beach offers a plethora of activities for families and friends to indulge in, making it an ideal destination for a fun-filled day. The sand dunes ride is an experience like no other, leaving you in awe of the stunning surroundings. My kids and I had an absolute blast, and the excitement of driving our car on the beach for the first time was truly remarkable. I cannot recommend this place enough, it truly is a magical experience that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

The beach offers an exhilarating 4wheeling adventure with two distinct sand types. The compact sand is perfect for driving without the need for 4x4 engagement, and I had my Jeep on Auto mode for the entire ride on that terrain. However, the soft sand requires good off-road tires and 4WD low to navigate. It's important to note that the high tide can reach all the way back to the check-in kiosk by 6:30 pm during the summer, so be cautious. Overall, this beach is a must-visit for any off-roading enthusiast.

The beach offers a vast expanse of soft sand that is perfect for driving on. It was an entirely new experience for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We managed to find a little spot to park, and the kids were thrilled to step right onto the sand. I must say, the sand was the softest I've ever felt on the California coast, and the children loved it too. The shallow shore makes it an ideal spot for kids to play, and I would have felt comfortable letting them play if they had their swimsuits. One thing to keep in mind is that there are lots of cars driving through, so it's essential to be cautious. Towards the end of the beach, there's a dune buggy rental place that looks like a lot of fun. This unexpected stop along the coastline was one of the best we've made in a while, and I would highly recommend it.

Driving on this beach was an exceptional experience that allowed us to explore the ocean waters while in the comfort of our own vehicle, all for a mere $5! We spent a tranquil New Year's Eve afternoon leisurely driving along the coast. For those seeking a more adventurous ride, there are options to rent buggies or ATVs for two or four people, with a vast enclosed sand-dune area to enjoy driving at higher speeds than the 15mph limit for private vehicles. The rental fees for a two-person ATV ranged from $110 to $150 for one to two hours. We highly recommend this beach as a must-do for anyone looking to cross beach-driving off their bucket list.

The beach was an incredible adventure. It was not overcrowded and offered the opportunity to rent an ATV or buggy, or even bring your own vehicle to drive along the entire stretch. Although I was initially hesitant about driving on the sand, the stunning views convinced me otherwise. My child also enjoyed playing with their beach toys.
