Enjoy a wonderful stroll along the beach, train track, and shoreline, as it offers a pleasant experience. The park has smooth sand, and it remains open until 10pm. Make sure to allocate enough time to engage in various activities such as swimming and building sandcastles. I noticed the presence of three fire pits, and I even saw someone who brought their own grill, indicating the opportunity for independent cooking.
The beach area is great for both surfers and families, as it is conveniently located right off the Metrolink orange route. This makes it a convenient option for families to visit on weekends.
The beach is quite narrow and has a limited number of visitors. However, it does offer a trail that leads to the pier within a 5 to 10-minute walk. If you prefer, you can conveniently park at North beach and make your way to the pier area, where finding parking is always challenging. Additionally, there is a deli located in the parking lot area.
I went to the beach over the weekend with some family members. It was incredibly crowded, making it impossible to find any parking spots. To make matters worse, there were police officers issuing citations to unsuspecting visitors. Within a few minutes of arriving, we started feeling uneasy. It definitely didn't live up to my expectations of a relaxing and enjoyable beach experience that I had anticipated from other beaches.
This beach is dog-friendly and conveniently located right next to a train station. It's a small and relatively quiet spot to relax and take in the sand and sunset. Due to coastal erosion, the beach space is not extensive. There are quite a few unhoused individuals utilizing the tables, fire pits, and showers, but everyone seems to keep to themselves, so it's not a problem. Although it may not be the perfect beach, I still thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
