The beach is an absolute gem! It exudes a sense of tranquility and serenity that is simply unmatched. The pristine sands, crystal-clear waters, and refreshing breeze are a true testament to the beauty of nature. The entire area is immaculately maintained, and you can tell that the locals take great pride in keeping it clean and inviting. Overall, a wonderful spot to relax and soak up the sun!
Very nice beach!"
This shoreline evokes memories of my cherished childhood beach; it's a frequent destination for my family and me. Despite the abundance of jagged rocks that can cause cuts, the beach is usually bustling with activity. The splash pad is a highlight, but caution must be exercised as it can be quite slippery. The park facilities are top-notch and the beach itself is quite lovely. However, the restrooms have an unpleasant odor.
Calf Pasture Beach, a once serene and picturesque location, now resembles a post-apocalyptic wasteland following the wrath of Hurricane Isaias. The once pristine shoreline is now littered with debris and fallen trees, serving as a reminder of the destructive power of Mother Nature. The sound of crashing waves is now replaced with the constant hum of cleanup efforts, as locals and volunteers work tirelessly to restore the area to its former glory. The beach may have survived the storm, but it will never be the same again.
The water at this beach is quite rocky and murky, which was a bit disappointing for my first visit to a beach in CT. It's possible that this is just the norm for beaches in the area, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Additionally, parking right in front of the beach is only available for residents, which can be frustrating for visitors. However, there is parking across the road that can be paid for using ParkMobile, although the cost of $65 seems exorbitant.
