If the authorities in charge of this beach park showed some initiative and utilized the taxpayers' funds to enhance the overall experience, it could become a delightful destination. The beach offers an industrial view, as depicted in the photos, and the water is excessively murky and contaminated.

The beach is quite basic, with average quality sand. The water, well, it's located at the far end of Manhasset Bay where all the boats and industries discharge their waste. I'm not implying that you'll undergo any mutations after swimming, but it wouldn't hurt to count your fingers afterwards. However, I appreciate its proximity and the fact that the children have fun at the playground and in the sand. The facilities are well-maintained and the area is safe.
