This place is adorable, located right by the waterfront and has its own private beach. Trust me, the chicken nachos here are absolutely fantastic!
The atmosphere and service were fantastic! We had a Greek salad (which was good), brisket tacos (also good), chips and dips (good), a kids burger (good), and a kids hot dog. Unfortunately, the hot dog seemed a bit questionable and unfortunately resulted in our son falling ill overnight. This is the sole reason why we didn't give it a perfect 5-star rating. All in all, we had a positive experience!
The beach is really nice. The atmosphere is what you make of it. It's an outdoor location close to the water. Most of us have spent the day on the water at the private beach and now we're having a meal. Unfortunately, they were out of the hummus trio plate, which is what I really wanted. However, I ended up getting the loaded fries (I can't remember the exact name) and I substituted the beef chili for grilled chicken. They were delicious and there was enough for two more people! My 17-year-old had the sliders and fries. He said they were delicious. He also helped me finish some of my loaded fries and there was still plenty left. My drink was also fantastic. We will definitely eat here again.
The Teddy's Tin Can Nachos were delicious and perfect for sharing! They had generous portions of chicken and a tasty cheese sauce. However, the Captain on Acid could have used a bit more acidity. On the other hand, the Red Rover had a perfect balance of flavors. The Pelicans Pina Rita was expertly crafted and enjoyable. Overall, the drinks and food were above average, and we were pleasantly surprised.
First impressions carry a lot of weight. When I arrived at the restaurant, I took a seat and soon realized that I had to fetch my own menu and place my order. The bartender was right there, but didn't bother to mention it. I was disappointed with the lack of customer service. I decided to order a Fried Fish sandwich and a coke, which amounted to a total of $24. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional. The location by the pier was pleasant, though. Would I return? Definitely not!
