The beach has a charming traditional Pier that offers various amusements and an entertainment area, as well as catering outlets and a fairground during the summer. The Pier underwent an upgrade a few years ago, although some parts are in need of attention, particularly the entrance canopy. We didn't have a chance to dine at the Blue Reef Fish Restaurant, but it appears to be well-maintained and clean. Additionally, there is a Tea Coffee Snack bar located at the end of the Pier. Fishing permits are also available, and there is a designated area for fishing at the Pier's end. The only downside is the absence of toilets, which is quite unfortunate. However, there are toilets available at the nearby lake. It's worth mentioning that there is a subtle yet reassuring security presence. Overall, it's definitely worth paying a visit.
It was pleasant to stumble upon the pier, where I found the typical ice cream, fish and chips stand, and arcade. However, locating a public restroom on the pier proved to be quite challenging. There were no signs indicating the nearest facilities, so I had to approach a lady passing by for assistance. Fortunately, she happened to be a local and informed me that I would have to go through the hall and inquire at the bar for a code to access the restroom (apparently, there was a darts club competition taking place).
I had a great time revisiting the beach. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and there were plenty of activities available for kids, as long as they are open consistently. The atmosphere during the summer was delightful, and the children really enjoyed themselves. Overall, it's a wonderful place to visit.
The pier is an enjoyable spot to bring the whole family, offering a variety of delicious lunch options and exciting amusement choices. Additionally, the ocean is incredibly inviting for a refreshing swim, while the kids can have a blast playing in the water and searching for seashells and other treasures. Our family had an absolutely fantastic time here, and the prices were quite reasonable. The weather was consistently perfect, with the sun shining brightly every day, and everyone seemed to be in such a cheerful mood. We felt completely at ease and content, as if we were in the comfort of our own home.
We had a great time at the amusement arcade on the pier that overlooks the beach. The person in charge was really friendly and laid-back when it came to handling the tickets and prizes, which the kids absolutely loved. They even mentioned that compared to other arcades, the prizes were better in terms of the number of tickets we earned. It's worth noting that the 'Quik Drop' machine was a big hit among those with quick reflexes, as it gave out a lot of tickets. Although the arcade could use a bit of cleaning, we understand that it was a busy bank holiday at a popular seaside destination. All in all, it's a fantastic place to have some fun and try your luck at winning awesome prizes!
