Sandy Bay beach is located on the English channel (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 15th place out of 78 beaches in the Devon region The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

I came across a fellow reviewer who expressed their disappointment with this beach due to the presence of a caravan park that obstructs its beauty. I must say, I share the same sentiment. The proximity of the park to the beach gives off an exclusive vibe, making it feel like a private beach for those staying there. This left me feeling let down and unimpressed. If you are not a guest at the holiday park, it might be better to explore other options such as Exmouth Beach.

During our stay at Haven Devon Cliffs in the first weekend of April 2022, we took a stroll along the beautiful beach as the tide was receding. We have visited this beach in different months throughout the years and have always managed to capture some breathtaking photos, regardless of the weather conditions. Additionally, the beach boasts of golden sand and is well-maintained, making it a delightful spot to spend a relaxing day.

The beach was absolutely splendid! During my stay at the Haven, I had the pleasure of strolling along the beach several times, taking in the breathtaking views and fresh sea air.
