If there is a divine being responsible for the creation of natural wonders, then English Point Beach is undoubtedly a masterpiece of its design. What makes this destination truly exceptional is the absence of crowds, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the tranquil ambiance of the beach.
The Amazon beach was pleasantly uncrowded during our visit. The heat was as anticipated, but we found ourselves thoroughly enjoying the experience nonetheless.
The beach is rather unremarkable, however, it is home to a multitude of adorable hermit crabs scurrying about. The rhythmic sound of the Pacific Ocean crashing onto the shore creates a serene atmosphere. Unfortunately, the beach is marred by a significant amount of litter, which is a disappointing sight.
I strongly suggest that you pay a visit to this stunning beach. Despite the presence of cruise ships nearby, we had the entire place to ourselves. If you venture towards the south, you'll come across a sign marking the spot where Columbus first set foot on land.
Located at the Western end of the airstrip, this beach can be accessed through a small dirt parking lot. It's a perfect spot for beachcombing, but swimming may not be the best option as old coral outcrops can pose a challenge. However, during calm water, snorkeling is a fair possibility.
