This beach is a true natural wonder that simply cannot be missed. If you happen to have a car in Silifke city center, the journey to this breathtaking spot is quick and easy, as it's located right at the bottom of the road route. Although there's a small settlement nearby and several beaches to choose from, there's one area that's free for public use, despite the clear laws. You can even drive your car right down to the shore! While the beach itself isn't particularly wide, it boasts a lovely sand and stone coating. It's a shame that such a beautiful area is somewhat uneven, but the sea itself is absolutely fantastic. The water is clean and calm, making it perfect for swimming and other water sports. Certain areas are even suitable for setting up camps. There aren't any showers or toilets, but the mosque at the entrance to the beach can be utilized for restroom purposes. There are also a few small markets in the area where you can purchase basic necessities. Unfortunately, the beach is often neglected and disorderly. People who burn barbecues on the sand or leave their trash scattered around are all too common. It's crucial that we all work together to protect these natural wonders for future generations to enjoy.
Although the scenic vista is stunning, the ocean appears to be contaminated, and all amenities require payment. Additionally, there is a scarcity of complimentary freshwater sources available. Furthermore, the sand quality beyond the initial couple of meters of rocky terrain may not meet the standards of travelers who have journeyed a great distance.
Located among the picturesque landscape, lies a serene strip of land, boasting two pristine beaches, nestled side by side. One of them is lovingly maintained by the locals, adding a touch of authenticity and charm to the already breathtaking scenery. You'll be grateful for choosing this beach as your sanctuary, where you can bask in the sun, relish the gentle breeze, and immerse yourself in the soothing sound of the waves.
Nestled in the picturesque Boğsak Bay, the Boğsak Public Beach is a hidden gem located just 20 km away from Mersin Silifke. The beach boasts of a perfect amalgamation of lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, making it a paradise for nature lovers. It is a popular spot for small yachts, boats, and fishing boats, as well as tour boats. Visitors can choose to stay in daily houses, tents, or caravans, and there are a few small cafes and restaurants to cater to their needs. The highlight of the beach is a small canal that runs through the middle of the bay, adding to its charm. However, it is worth noting that the beach lacks basic amenities such as showers, dressing cabins, and water to take a shower. It is a primitive setting, and visitors who are only there for a swim will need to head back home to take a shower.
Driving down to the beach is a delightful experience, but unfortunately the local vendors can be quite unpleasant. Despite this, I highly recommend bringing all your necessary items and being mindful of the mosquitoes which can be quite bothersome, especially for those who plan on camping. These pesky insects invade in the evenings and have become more prevalent since the forest fire. It's a shame that such a beautiful environment has been affected by this tragedy. The stunning mountain backdrop serves as a reminder to cherish and preserve the natural world for generations to come. Let's all do our part to keep this place clean and enjoyable not just for today, but for the rest of our lives. The beach is the perfect spot to unwind and relax.
